I always skip long blog posts, so I’ll keep things as concise as possible.
Oh, and don’t worry, AI isn’t used to generate my posts. These are my own words... maybe with a grammar check here and there 😅
To keep the story very short:
I'm a software engineer. I've had startups ranging from a software development agency to building and publishing my own apps on the App Store. My apps have been featured by Apple in over 160 countries, even on physical demo devices in retail stores.
Oh, and I also checked off the "work for a big tech company in Silicon Valley" box.
I have over 10 years of experience working with Objective-C, Swift, Web Dev, and more.
Why do I want to try again?
My 9-to-5 is ruining my biggest passion, coding.
Don’t get me wrong, I like my job. But I need a creative outlet to build the things I want to build. I want to learn new things at a faster pace.
And of course, if I succeed as a part-time indie dev, I might finally find some freedom, not necessarily financial freedom, but real creative freedom.
How will this time be different?
Easy. I want to:
- Build things I want to use
- Be happy with the product, even if I’m the only one using it
- Use cool tools just for the heck of it
- Do more on the marketing side of things
- Build multiple micro-projects; avoid putting all my eggs in one basket
Why should you follow this journey?
I’m going to share cool and useful tools I use. I’ll try to create easy-to-digest tutorials. I’ll post updates on my projects and share what I learn along the way.
Maybe it’ll help spark your motivation. Maybe you’ll learn something new, too.
